Hope you are all safe from the storm, it's the calmest day here we've had for ages! Yesterday was rough though, more flooding on the roads.

Been for a swim, put a wash on, will do the other one when I've had a shower.

Ended up at DDs last night, I took all the things I would need for decorating including the ladder, don't want to spoil one of her new chairs! Going back up later today when I've met with friends to make a start. She's off tomorrow too so we'll get stuck in then. I've invited myself to stay tonight so we can make an early start.

Lainey - A bit late but good luck for today.
tru - Scampi did well being out that long.
JackieO - Sounds like you were thoroughly spoilt yesterday, you deserve it.

Have a good Monday. Take care. xx

After all the activity yesterday I am having a quiet morning. DD looked a little surprised last night when I gave her a couple of home cooked and frozen meals and insisted she took a charged up solar lamp in case of a power cut.

I phoned about the gas safe cert I need for the lawyers and one is being sent to this address but could take ten days to arrive
so I am hoping that having the reg number will do when I see the lawyer tomorrow.

I need to get to the bank today to get a physical copy of some transactions so will brave the shuttle bus as the temp footbridge has not opened yet. Hoping I can firm up the moving date soon.

Crossing fingers for Mr and Mrs TA and so glad JackieO had a lovely birthday.

    Hugs to all

Lamewolf - I love the idea of you writing postcards for your doggie friends.
It's something hosts are required to do, as part of the service. :o
We get given a blank postcard - it has a pastiche of various dogs on the "picture" side - the write-on side is divided into two, and we have to write one side from ourselves, the hosts, to the owners; and the other side is written from the dog's POV. So it's stuff like "I've been ever so good, eaten up all my meals, and made friends with several other doggies on my walks" style of thing. :o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Hi chums back after my day out.had a lovely time and the film was really good.DGS ben texted me to say he had landed safely from his trip to Holland ,but there was a lot of turbulence during the flight !!!

I used the medway tunnel each way rather than the bridge as it really was quite horrible driving up and worse coming back :)

Bluewater was practically empty,I think a lot of people stayed tucked up at home .
Still I came home with some nice knitting wool from my friend which will go towards the charity blankets that I knit.
The boys were really good and I was only about 20 minutes late getting back as it was far too windy to put my foot down
Mikey had finished his homework by the time I got in and Henry was up in his room on his computer game so peace reigned which I was very pleased about as if there are any arguments its usually between those two :):):),so they both got a pat on the back and praise for being sensible.

I'm just going to dig out something from the freezer for dinner now then feet up and a bit of knitting and maybe a nanny-nap as last nights sleep was so disturbed.
Hope everyone is safe and warm and dry Batten down the hatches I think its due to be a bit stormy for awhile this week
    Cheers chums

P.S came home to another card through the post with a £10.00 note in it to treat myself from a friend I only see about once a year as she lives so far away bless her

    Hi everyone,

Just popping back on to say today went well although my head is buzzing and my brain feels like mush at the moment with all the new information it's been trying to cope with
The other people seem friendly enough which is good but the office is hot and stuffy so will need to keep that in mind when choosing what to wear.
Even though it's now dark and still very windy we are going to walk the girls one last time in a minute so at least get some fresh air, will go and see Bill tomorrow after work but for tonight it's a collapse on the sofa and chill kind of evening.
  • I don't ever want to go to work again. I fell asleep on the bus home.

Good to hear you had a lovely birthday JackieO

    Best wishes to the TAs
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
  • AOD, I know the feeling, I'm desperate to retire but there is no end in sight for me.
    Chin up, Titus out.
