passcode for wireless network

We have wireless broadband. My dau has just bought a laptop and needs to know the passcode to enable her to use the net, does anyone know where I can find this?

Which wireless router? Have you previously setup encryption?

you need to log in to the router, and copy and paste it. post the router model if you don't know how to do this

Don't know a lot really, sorry, my neighbour (a fantastic PC/IT person), usually does it all for us but I thought I'd try (if it was easy) rather than keep asking him! But methinks it is way above my understanding, so i'll have to ask nicely again.

By the way its a Netgear on blueyonder/virgin network if thats any help. See i am dim!

goto wireless settings, look for wpa or wep key

Enter 192.168.0.1 into your browser using a PC that is wired to the router. You will then need to enter admin for the user name and password
for the password, both in lower case letters if it has not been changed.
