Rust coming through on corners

We have an ancient solid wall Welsh 'holiday home'
We have damp ingress which we/the builder have hopefully addressed.
We have a couple of dehumidifiers going.
The royal 'we' are repainting the wall but the corners of the window recess (presumably where the angle beading is) have rust pushing through.
Do 'we' just rub it down (again) and bang some gloss paint over it or ....

Probably, your easiest bet yes, get the rust off maybe a bit of kurust first gloss over it and then emulsion.0

Your beads are galvanised steel and the mere concept of you "rubbing them down" is what is causing your problem. The rubbing is removing the zinc and causing the rust. Hence be very gentle in your repairs and redecorating!0

If it wasn't rusty, we wouldn't have rubbed it down.0 -
Probably should've used stainless beads if it's still damp. Oh well, just do the Kurust thing as mentioned by Chappers.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

galv beads are fine for internal plastering over the timeframe they are exposed to wet plaster, it's being constantly damp that the don't like as in this situation.0
