The pre-printed receipt books sound like a good idea though, more expensive than the blank ones we use at the moment but a bit more professional looking.

Don't dismiss Invoice2go, that can do quotes on your tablets and email a really professional looking PDF quote and/or invoice. We use this quite a lot and you can have more than one user.

iZettle works well with some bluetooth printers and they sell their equipment online. This works with both android and iphone's.

If you want to print on A4, then Canon used to do a portable printer that takes a battery. It was airprint compatible so I know it works with iOS devices
