E.ON meter readings/account payment issues
Anyone can advise me please? My complain to E.ON a while back was ignored.
My electricity meter readings:
23.02.2015 - 55600
06.05.2015 - 55978
21.05.2015 - 56020
05.08.2015 - 56276
As you can see, it's around 300kwh per 3 months...
21.11.2015 - 58429 (EON estimation readings)
Suddenly E.ON decided they think i've been using 2100kwh the past 3 months. My complain that this is too much was ignored.
Today's reading 07.02.2016 - 57160.
I can't even submit this reading online because it's less than "previous readings".

If the website is locking you out from entering a 'true' reading and phone-in Customer Services are not helping, WRITE to Eon heading the letter Complaint enclosing a dated photo of your meter0

Thanks dogshome, I'll do that first thing tomorrow.0

Good morning zxof,
I'm so sorry that you say your complaint was ignored, How was this? As this looks a really simple thing to sort out.
It looks like we just need to re-bill you to the correct read you've got
I can do that for you, if you'd like me to
Just email your full name, account number and address, with the reads and I'll bill it.

Thank you

Your consumption does appear to be very low. What type of property is it and what appliances do you use?0

When exactly did you first complain to Eon?
Have you followed the Eon complaint procedure, particularly as you say they ignored you first time?
Have you any evidence the supplier actually received your complaint? (Proof of posting is not proof of delivery)0 -
@footguy It's shortly after EON made the estimate readings so it's around end of November. It's actually a complain over the phone not in writing... I said that I am happy to pay whatever amount is due right away based on true readings, EON said they can do that but that means I will lose my direct debit discounts and other stuff (sorry I can't remember).
The person asked if I would like to file an official complain, I said yes but never heard anything since then.
Well at that time unfortunately I couldn't better deals and I was not willing to lose my discount so I decided to just suck it up.
@ToomanyPies Really? Thanks. It's a 3 bedroom house however just 2 persons live in it and we travel quite a bit. Other than that I am a bit cheap
but on a serious note there are only few LED lights, 1 desktop, no TV just a projector for movies and the basic stuff washer, fridge and oven etc. My usage the previous year was about the same too.
@Helena/EON Someone responded my query on EON Facebook page yesterday. Since I am leaving EON they're unable to update the meter readings anymore since it has been frozen. The new supplier will have to inform EON about the final readings.
Assuming this is true then I will have to wait for the final bill and see if the readings are correct? (I have provided the readings to my new supplier).0 -

Oh I see, thanks for the update zxof,
Yes that's right, if the account is currently leaving and going through that process then we can't re-bill the account.
You'll provide your reads to your new supplier and they'll send them on to us electronically. We'll then produce your final bill to these reads.
You really should have been given a bit more information about the complaint, even if we billed you up to date then you could of made a one off payment and continued with your Direct Debit etc so I'm sorry that you appear to not have been fully informed.
When you get your final bill from us, you can just check the reads we've used match the start reads used by your new supplier.
Thank you
