0% on purchases?

in Credit cards
Hi all,
I'm looking to take out a 0% credit card to pay for a course I'm planning to take. There are a lot of 0% cards on the market but when reading the pre-contract agreements I get the impression that 0% on purchases only seems to apply if you can pay the balance in full.
If this is the case, does anybody know of any cards with 0% interest if the balance isn't paid in full? Or, can anybody recommend a card where the applicable interest is nice and low?
Thanks in advance,
Martyn

If you have a 0% promo offer, then you can pay minimum repayments and not pay interest until the end of the promo period.
If you don't have a promo, then you need to clear on full each month to avoid interest.0 -
And if the card does come with an inductory promotional rate make sure you make at least the minimum payment by the due date (and avoid exceeding the limit) as the card provider reserves the right to remove the 0% rate. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. And make sure you are able to pay off the full balance at the end of the 0% promo period to avoid paying high interest.
Whilst it's always possible you might be able to balance transfer onto another 0% card. Its a dangerous assumption to make and lots of people don't have a 'Plan B' when they get rejected for 0% cards.0 -
Thank you, your answers have been really helpful. I'll keep looking and see what I can get.0
