if you carry out your own search, known as a personal search or unofficial search, it is a lot cheaper than £95. The new form is indeed called a con29r, which you will now need because it has added boxes for the hips. The con29dw is no longer in use and has been replaced with a totally different form, again with boxes for hip use. The agent will need proof that as the seller, they have commissioned the pack or will be fined. Most buyers solicitors will only accept official searches, so dont bother with personal searches, and are valid for 5 to 6 months so do the complete pack now and dump it on the agents desk. You can use your present searches if still valid but they may be out of date when you sell it.
