You are a happy and lucky person if this is the worst mistake in your life.

You transfer as much as possible. Then either pay the remainder off as fast as possible or apply for another card to transfer it to.

You can apply for another balance transfer card to transfer the remainder of the debt, or just concentrate on paying off the remainder of the debt that you weren't able to transfer.
  • I put in the transfer figures, then they accepted my application and said my credit limit was lower than the firgures i put in. Will all the figures what i put in transfer across or will only some of the figures transfer?

The card has a 14 day period where i can cancel it, Should i cancel it and then transfer the figures back to the cards they come from?
  • Also would a loan be a good idea to clear the debt and be on the right road to a debt free life?

No the limit is what they have told you, so transfer across what you are allowed and leave the rest on the card.

And sorry I must agree, if that's the worst mistake in your life you have a good chance of becoming a saint soon after death!

So even though i've put the figures to be transferred before i got accepted, Is it upto me to actually transfer the funds?

    You're right. That is terrible.

I once ordered red wine with fish. I thought my life was finished.

Thank God there are people worse off than me. :)
