Hi nearlyrich,
Now conscience really is a subjective topic. I wouldn't bat an eyelid, but I'd never try to convince somebody that held the opposite view that they were wrong. "Two wrongs don't make a right" is a religious quote and we can all see what a mess religion has made of this beautiful planet; so that doesn't carry any weight with me.
Integrity is an abstract concept; I wouldn't risk imprisonment for such a relatively modest sum. Suppose it was for hundreds of thousands though, and I spent the entire some on food and medical supplies for the third world, where would my integrity be then, and by whose morals or standards?0 -

btw kettle would you like to discuss the colour black?
Hi leslie,
Not at all, I have a family to provide for; if I had the luxury of chosing my employer then I would.
(btw kettle would you like to discuss the colour black) Comments like that make me think you're stuck for words; a bit like "at the end of the day, when all's said and done, the bottom line is, that we just have to grin and bear it". :rolleyes:0 -

I fear life is never black or white; just shades of grey.
How VERY true, Rich - just wish everyone felt that way.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hey Postie, you're absolutely right.
Sometimes though a light hearted look at the way we accept authority and the establishment's expectations without ever questioning them is no bad thing.
I appreciate anarchists and fanatics do that all the time but what about the other 99.99% of us that just accept some of this sh1te as being an acceptable part of life.0 -
I agree entirely but I like to sleep well at night0

You know your family is worth more than your debt Richard which is why it was a statement not a question. No I wouldn't take a cheque off you but I'd glady have a pint or two. It's not about you being BR or the banks or even the money in the end its about me.
I value something more when I've struggled to get get it for myself, you know that thing called pride (comes before an almighty fall usualy).
As for you, you've been to hell and back yet you still have a sense of humour and a spark so bright it radiates the board. Did I just say that? Must be overtired.Barclaycard 3800
