Interesting that you mention the Easycash account.
Typically you'd only be offered that if you were under 18 or had credit issues at the time.I am a Mortgage BrokerYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Broker, so you need to take my word for it.

I was under 18 at the time of application and it never got upgraded0 -
Bare in mind I'm only 22 at the moment it's not like I'm 40 odd0

That is incorrect.
Why did Halifax only provide you with an EasyCash account?
Assuming you have not long been 18+, or have not always resided here since 18?
What is incorrect? I emailed scottishpower data protection officer at one point and they confirmed they don't report to credit reference agencies here's a copy of the reply;
Good Morning,
Thank you for your email.
There is no requirement for ScottishPower to supply all of your payment history with credit reference agencies. ScottishPower uses such agencies primarily for the prevention of Fraud and Secondly to record when any customer's payment history defaults.
Many Thanks

Good Morning Sean,
Thank you for your email.
ScottishPower do not register monthly payments against your credit file. We will only mark a record on your file if your account goes into default. Unfortunately, this means that you would be unable to build your credit profile using ScottishPower as your utility company.
Many Thanks

I sort of stand corrected, although just checked 5 credit files and all 5 had utility bills on there but not with Scottish Power to be fair.
Ok, so age is probably the reason why you are over worrying coupled with the fact your broker is not doing you any favours.
I would start from scratch and get an experienced broker and this worry probably goes away.
Good luckI am a Mortgage Broker

This is the only broker I have found in my area no clue where else to go to be honest. I phoned landc and told them my situation and they just said it looks like we can't help you at the moment as you won't fit criteria for a mortgage. Unless I just got an incompetent call Center agent.
They asked me for the credit score on experian and said it would be too low to put me with any lenders. I might be confusing this with another online mortgage broker though I phoned a couple0 -

Now you know the full situation on my credit report do you think Santander will decline me when they do the full search? Should I cancel the application before they start processing a full search so I'm not made worse off by a credit check?0 -
Definitely a call agent, anyone asking for the Experian score deserves to be struck off in my opinion.
As someone said earlier, Santander AIP's are typically reliable although given the relative lack of credit profile would possibly not have been our lender of choice although impossible to say without seeing the full situation.I am a Mortgage Broker

Hi Sean,
How did you get on with Santander?
I am in the same situation and have an AIP from them. Did you go into the branch and have the mortgage meeting? When they hard checked you second time around did it show up on Experian, Equifax and Call Credit?
Thanks0
