Some takeaways wont deliver to some areas because of undesirables so yes they do check the suitability
It's perhaps not so trourough as checking each individual street for parking through!
Reading this has made me realise what an awful job delivering food must be!!If my post doesn't appear to be serious, then it is not serious. So what? Kick back, relax enjoy life and have a little fun. Life is far far too short to be grumpy!!!!0 -

Why on earth do people post stupid comments like this.
It's a UK based web forum for posting vents. What would you expect, discussion of malaria and cholera?0 -

I don't like posts like yours.
You've deliberately taken a very small quote from his/her post to criticise them.
If all the poster had posted was "first world problems" then that is worthy of criticism. However they posted a much longer post with some sensible points in. You've ignored all them just to make yourself seem superior.
It's extremely unpleasant.0 -

Thank you.
Yes, I was taken aback that they couldn't see my tongue in cheek
You said it nicely ... and I was simply lost for words.
So thank you.... for not making me feel like a freak as I felt "somebody got it".0 -
Thanks to everyone who's pointed out that many drivers use their own cars. I hadn't actually considered this. I will still try to use companies who use bikes in future though! But you're not agoraphobic, are you? Before contemplating making up a disability (agoraphobia can be extremely debilitating), think about how your actions affect someone who is genuinely ill - when the takeaways stop delivering to them because they're sick of being taking advantage and therefore assume everyone is a fraud.
You've quoted the bit where I specifically said I wouldn't pretend to have a disability (this was not my suggestion, it was someone else's if you look back through this thread). It also says I would say I can't leave the flat and not give a reason. My point being they could draw any conclusion from that without me lying. My reason for not being able to leave the flat would be laziness and disinclination!
On a separate note, if a takeaway company decided to stop delivering to disabled people purely because that involved having to deliver to someone's front door as you suggest, then they're probably not the kind of company you'd want to give your money to, surely?0
