Are readers usable on other accounts?

Can I use a Worldpay Zinc chip and pin card reader with other account providers, iZettle for eg?

Don't know either of those accounts but it seems to be possible in some cases eg Nationwide and RBS/NatWest.

If you used Worldpay Zinc's reader with iZettle, you would be breaking both Worldpay Zinc's t&cs and iZettle's t&cs.

(I suspect they wouldn't work anyway.)

I've found I can use Nationwide cards in Barclays/Lloyds readers. But my Nationwide reader objects if I insert a non-Nationwide card.

I think you're misunderstanding.

Worldpay Zinc and iZettle are mobile point-of-sale payment systems.

I assume the OP is asking about a card reader (to link to a phone) for accepting payment from his/her customers.
