Hi
I've emailed Very three times and spoken on Chat to get them to reduce my credit limit and they haven't done it.
Is there anything I can write to them to make them do it?

How rude. I know a letter, I was looking for some advice - obviously you don't have anything useful to say.0

You might have to wait until the next billing period.
It took me numerous emails do get them to close my account.0 -
Why not set your own credit limit in you head.
Just beczuse the limit is there doesn't mean you Have to spend up to it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Because it can gave a negative impact on your credit file. Very are notorious for raising limits with requesting it. I've reduced mine several times over the years (telephone request) only to find they bump it back up again a few months later. I neither want nor need a £7.5k limit especially as I rarely use the account these days!0 -
My credit limit on my CC could be £10,000 or £1,000,000. It doesn't matter. Because I only spend as much as I need to.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

If you use credit responsibly, the fact that 'Very' have given you a high credit limit, is unlikely to have any negative effect on your credit file.
It's usually when you max out your available credit that lenders become nervous. As others have said. You don't have to use the full limit.0 -
I don't want the amount. When I clear it in July, I'd like to close it. Thanks for the sensible answers.0
