Reclaiming Overdraft Charges

Hello
I am looking into my mum's finances and she is receiving bank charges each month for going overdrawn. This month her charges are £60.
My mum is in receipt of pension credits and basically can only afford the basics in life. She also have other debt, some of which is on a debt repayment plan and the remainder is made up of Provident loans and catalogues.
Would it be possible to try and claim these bank charges back due to her "hardship". If so what is the best possible way?
Thank you

Its possible but remember that refunding charges is one of a number of options available to the bank. Its not like the old days of being able to claim back years of charges.
She needs to put her case to the bank by writing the complaints department (its not a complaint but they handle financial hardship cases). They will look at her situation, assess her spending habits etc and see if there is some way they can help.
Having consumer debts (as she does) is not a good indication of someone who can only afford the basics in life.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hello
As her pensions is only on roughly £130 a week when she gets charged £60 in one week it leaves her short which then has a knock on effect and a circle of going overdrawn. I am looking at all her other costs to get her out of this situation and break the circle.0
