Sofa won't fit but I can't cancel

I ordered a sofa from SCS 5 weeks ago on finance. The order form I signed does state orders cannot be cancelled. They attempted delivery today but it won't fit through my front door (I did mention it was a tight squeeze when ordering). They are saying I cannot cancel and will have to pay £100+ more to have it taken apart and but together in my flat. As I haven't taken delivery can I simply continue to refuse delivery so they cannot start deducting payments?

Did you give them the measurements of your doorway?GeordiePet wrote: »I ordered a sofa from SCS 5 weeks ago on finance. The order form I signed does state orders cannot be cancelled. If so, did they confirm it would fit?0 -

What would signing an order form suggest to you?0 -
I ordered it in store and no they didn't ask for measurements but the sales guy said it would be OK as it would arrive with feet off etc to make it easier to get in.0

It would suggest I agree to the t's and c's...but it doesn't mention what happens if we can't get it in your house....0

But it does say on their website FAQs:GeordiePet wrote: »It would suggest I agree to the t's and c's...but it doesn't mention what happens if we can't get it in your house....
Of course, as you ordered in store, there is no reason why you should've read that. What if my furniture doesn't fit on delivery?
We strongly advise you to check the dimensions of the product that you are ordering. These are available on our website on the individual product page. This information will help to ensure that upon delivery, the product can be placed into your home with ease. In the event that a product you have ordered does not fit into your home, we will make you an appointment with a highly trained independent technician who will dismantle the sofa and then rebuild it once it is inside your home. This will incur an additional fee.0 -
I was looking for sofas a few months ago and this is pretty standard from what I saw. For sofas that can't be dismantled they said they could take it back but I would have to pay a percentage of the sofa's price to cancel the order. It's all in the T's and C's you sign up to when placing the order.0
