Advantage Gold Natwest

I don't know if I have any rights here but just wanted to enquire...
I had a natwest account since 2000 (when I was 16). I was left some money in 2003 and was upgraded to an advantage gold account. I remember my meeting but was prob still quite young and naive and didn't know who I upgraded. I cancelled my AG account in 2013 after realising I was getting nothing having this account. Again, call me stupidly naive, but I never really thought about why I was paying this monthly payment. I didn't once take up the advantages and wasn't aware of what they were until a couple of years ago. I've always paid separate car breakdown, mobile insurance etc.
A there any worth in pursuing this?

I actually tried this yesterday as i felt like i was mis-sold this account a few years ago...
anyway they got back to me a few hours after my complaint and after looking at their evidence they refused to pay back any money i had payed for this account.
if you feel like its worth a try anyway then i was given the following number to call:
Accounts Department
0800 161 5130

I successfully reclaimed Advantage Gold Acc monthly fees, as I wasn't informed of the monthly fee and I didn't need or use all but one of the 'benefits.'
Just be aware that your claim may be time barred (you have 6 years from the original date, or 3 years from the date of knowledge whichever is the latter, so the latter is your only chance as you realised in 2013 it may have been mis-sold or 2014 when you noticed the fees).
You're best complaining in writing. You can email:

Good Luck. Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0 -
If you defaulted on this account (as with your others), you won't receive any redress even if your complaint is upheld.0
