ICICI bank problem and are they safe/

I have a meager amount of savings that were in a Santander account. Their interest rate was poor so I checked Martin's site and saw ICICI bank.
I opened up the account with the minimum amount and everything went smoothly. Once I had the account open and user name (they assign you one that you can't change????) and password I transferred the rest of my money from my Santander account.
Now, I cannot get into my account online. I have contacted then through their site 4 times asking for a new password and telling them I cannot get into my account and I am getting nothing back whatsoever.
I have checked the banking ombudsman but from what I can see, I have to wait at least two months.
Anyone else had any problems? Any recommendations?

Have you tried calling them? When I needed to update my password (some time ago) it was done by phone. 0344 412 4444.0

When I had accounts with ICICI in the past, one of the T&Cs was that you had to log into internet banking at least once every 6 months, otherwise your access would be blocked.
If you're keeping this account, you might want to check if this still applies.0 -
I've had an account with them for a couple of years now - and no problems accessing at all. Sorry to hear you've had problems though - hope you get it sorted.Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0

Up to you but if you've already tried contacting them four times without response then you might wish to put something more formal into writing, see http://www.icicibank.co.uk/personal/complaints_process.page? for details of how.I haven't managed to get hold of them yet.
I will try phoning on Monday as they do not open on the weekend.
