Please can someone advise
I am trying to get on the property ladder.
I have saved £4000 in a normal ISA and am hoping to join the help to buy ISA with Halifax in April but the problem is I can save more than £200 per month. What should I do with the remaining amount to achieve the best amount of interest

There are current accounts paying between 3-5% and regular saver accounts paying 5-6%. These are good places to start and may well be all you need.

Here is a great link discussing that: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/53746140 -
Presumably you mean that you have contributed to the ISA in this tax year.
Are you able to open a TSB Plus and a Nationwide Flexdirect account? (Both of these offer regular savers as well.)
You might consider closing the ISA and transferring £2500 to the Flexdirect and £1500 to the TSB.
You would then set up a SO from TSB to transfer £1000 to Flexdirect on the same day as a transfer of £1000 from Flexdirect to TSB.
You could sweep the monthly interest from Flexdirect to TSB.
In April you could set up your HTB with Halifax with £1000 from the Flexdirect and thereafter fund it from your existing current account, using your surplus savings to fill the Flexdirect and the TSB to the maximum.
You might also wish to consider the regular savings offerings.
You might then wish to consider opening one or two Tesco current accounts and so on.0
