Did you know the case was broken before the ipad was dropped? when you fitted the ipad did the case break or did it break when it was dropped? if you knew that the case was broken before it was dropped then i cant see how the retailer can be to blame so it would be a case of house insurance.0

I'm not sure to be honest. It was quite a flimsy case though. I haven't heard anything, what should I do? Send another letter??Competition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0

Is this anything similar-something about magnets ?
From apple"Magnetic connection.
A hinge magnetically aligns the Smart Cover with iPad mini for a perfect fit, while magnets inside help it stay put."
Either you've not got the right case for the right mini( there are several) or the magnet has fallen out?
Did you look at the magnet on the case as outlined here?0 -

The CRA only allows you obtain money up to the cost fo the goods - any additional losses need to be claime dudner the traditional ruels of contract.
So breach of contract - items faulty udner the sale CRA. But the additional damage for the iPad would be under contract law damages i believe

Product liability is covered under the consumer protection act I believe.
Although it doesn't cover damage to the product itself, only if the product damages other property and the value of the damage is more than £275.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
