I am afraid that it isn't a long time at all. These vermin will chase anything if they can scare enough gullible people to pay them to make it worth their while. I faced down a false claim from Excel for the full six years, with the last fishing expedition on their part occurring 5 years and 6 months in (previous "rules" - no keeper liability and essentially made up rubbish in any case).secret_squirrel85 wrote: »Ok thanks. Who do DR+ intend to take to court and on what basis. It appears they may be implying or even claiming the RK is liable.

Would this apply to a parking charge issued in April 2013 in England? I had the same experience as the OP and have just got another letter from them.0

Of course. You've had a desperate Debt Recovery letter mentioning a landmark decision haven't you?
Search the forum for 'Debt Recovery Plus landmark'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It would seem that they are implying that the registered keeper is liable. I should make it clear that debt recovery plus aren't threatening to take anyone to court. Rather that they will simply recommended to "their client" that they should take court action. It's possibly worth mentioning that there has been no letters from their client (highview parking) since very early on.
I'll suggest to the recipient of the letters that they just ignore them. Hopefully they get bored eventually0
