Apple have started a replacement programme for power adapters full details are here. http://www.apple.com/uk/support/ac-wallplug-adapter/
If you are taking your Travel Adapter Kit to a store for exchange remember to remove the USB Adapter from your old World Travel Adapter Kit before exchanging the kit for a new one.
I took two World Travel Kits into the Edinburgh Apple Store on Thursday 4th February. They were happy to replace my old style kits with the new ones. However I have now noticed that the new kits do not include the USB Power adapters only the plugs for various countries. I was aware that the new kit didn't include a cable but wasn't told that the USB adapter was no longer part of the kit.
So I now have two sets of new plug adapters but no USB Adapters to use them with. If bought separately the USB Adapters cost £15 each. I am going back to the store tomorrow to see whether I can recover the USB adapters but it is unlikely that the Edinburgh store will have retained my old kits.
