Identity Fraud - will our mortgage be affected?

My husband discovered yesterday that he has been a victim of identity fraud. Four different accounts (mobile phone and broadband contracts) have been opened in his name in two days that we know of, expecting to discover more. The name, address, DOB etc are all his but the bank accounts used are associated with another poor soul. The bank has been informed.
He is in the process of sorting this - informing the suppliers etc. Obviously this won't be resolved immediately but he is doing everything he can ASAP.
We are FTBs and about 2 weeks away from exchanging contracts then 28 days to completion. The mortgage has already been approved. How likely is this to impact on our purchase? Are there any steps we should be taking from this perspective?
Many thanks.

Perhaps as one of the steps, look up "CIFAS protective registration". Good luck with your application.0
