No-fault car accident question

Good afternoon, DH had a car accident this week (no fault, other driver has admitted full liability) DH's insurance company have made him an offer as the car is a write off, but the offer is minus the excess.
I was under the impression that as it was the other drivers fault, his insurance company would pay and therefore DH's excess would not be part of the equation, am I wrong??

You need to post in the Insurance forum, this is about PPI insurance.
However, why have you claimed off your own insurance when the third party hit you? You should have claimed off them. You will have to put in a claim for the excess from themSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
