Tickets not arrived

Options
Does anyone have any advice - I won some tickets for an event that takes place on Sunday. The competition was way back in December so plenty of time to get the tickets to me. I have been patient but contacting to get updates. Two weeks ago I was told that the tickets would be with me last week. They didn't arrive and haven't arrived today. The company I won the prize from said probably the easiest thing would be for me to pay for the tickets and they would refund me. A) I don't have the money to do that as they were the top expensive tickets and B) that doesn't seem to be a good practice. Haven't been in this situation before. What should I do? Thanks for any advice.

If they are willing to pay for the tickets - email them back and ask them to do a bank transfer for the cost of the tickets

Are you sure they aren't waiting for you at the venue. Sometimes they leave them for collection rather than risk them going missing in the post

  • Thanks for the comments so far.

The competition organiser hasn't been able to sort anything out and doesn't think they will be able to now so I know the tickets aren't being held for me at the venue.

The offer for me to buy the tickets myself and then they would refund was for standard tickets and not the package advertised in the competition that was twice the price.

I would make a formal complaint to the company in charge of the competition. That's really poor on their behalf and not good customer relations. Hope you can sort something even if it isn't for the event you hoped.
