hey Elliemoo. I'm ok. Hope you are too? How's your mum?

Great choons as ever. I think our jukebox buddy LFAB should be back online soon and putting her dodgy 10ps in the slot

I'm good. Mum is in reasonable spirits but there has been a definite downturn since beginning of December, but we just keep on keeping on.

Yes LFAB should be settled in and back to the jukebox soon.

BQ I know I've been absent a lot this week. I've been pukey and unsociable :o but am still planning to gate crash Di's party on Friday. PM with where to pick you up if you're still up for it.

Likewise Ellie14 and squigs if you want to join us. Di reckons we are 40 minutes away but I'd give it an hour as I'm quite good at getting lost :o:p :rotfl: c'mon ladies :D

    I've been to the ball:)

    Diversity knows no bounds:)

Young girls with their impossibly long legs and even more impossible high shoes............an elderly couple doing an American Tango to Amy singing Valerie.......the delectable gay couple dancing so in synch that I think they must practise every night in their living room :whistle: mesmerisingly in tune with each other's bodies.......muslims and Hindus........middle aged ladies in saris showing off their tummies:D................a microcosm of the perfect society where we all get along together:T:T

Sometimes it's so easy to imagine the world at peace:)

I'm sorry and I know it won't be popular. I agree that diversity is great but it will be greater when people stop 'labelling' other people.

You have mentioned old, young, gay, Hindu and Muslim. Why are these groups of people singled out? They should fit in to society anyway without having to be endorsed. I'm sorry if that offends but it's how I see it. Why should a gay person or a Hindu person have to try harder to fit in to our society? And why should it be applauded if they do? it should be the norm. It shouldn't be a big deal and it isn't to some people

    I'm off to bed.

TM Microcsm is a great concept as are all the other courses that come with the line of work. But nothing compensates for what you know in your head.

Do I want to slap every single person who tells me to 'think positive'?yes I do. I want to hand them my shoes and them to come back and tell me if they feel so positive after a walk in them.

Words are good and they are positive but unless you've been there, you really don't know.

I'm not one to nit-pick () but don't you mean society? By saying "our" you are suggesting there is a them and us :p

not at all tesco/Asda/morrisons/sainsburys boy. I'm suggesting we shouldn't label people by their preferences because when we do its singling out those preferences. trust you to get all arsey about it :p

I kind of know what you mean though

Someone posted on tescos fb wall the other day to complain about two members of staff. One was a tall, well built, dark haired man the other was an asian lady

I felt compelled to ask why she chose such different descriptors and the response was "i'm sure that's how they would both describe themselves"

I just don't see a reason to celebrate diversity when it's around us every day and it really is the norm to me. We have diversity within our family. We have a diverse cleaner who is partying and this weekend my DS1 brought 2 guys home to visit who are studying with him. they are west African. they are welcomed but would have been welcomed wherever they came from. my house is pretty open. my kids are open, I am open. I was just saying :o
