    Gosh, Snap, you are really taking me back in time. I remember these too - and they were so well made and robust.

    Do you have any of those little metal birds that used to clip on to the tree branches - they had flat tails with 'real' strands coming out at the back as feathers.

    If Snaps mum and dad don't, I have 6 that my mother gave me with some 'old' Chrustmas tree decorations. I think they were from 1950s made of glass. The birds, I'm not sure how old they are though :). Happy memories :)

    I had no use for the gift I posted to scamps and didn't want him feeling :( with no way of keeping intouch with all of us. Another Elite as contributed towards the postage for his gift so that's another kind :A
