♥ What a lovely day today - Many thanks for my birthday wishes ♥

Lovely to read Nanny - You had a fabulous enjoyable holiday :T

All is so relaxed here now. Dad has 'chillaxed' & settled - tension all gone, we had pancakes for tea last night at his request :D

I'm allowed some hours away - so I'm going To Gun Wharf Quays in Portsmouth Harbour, visit Kipling store - they sent me a 15% off code for my Birthday :D

Then calling into Portsmouth for a T K Maxx visit :)
And then we are having a Chinese tonight :j:j

Makes a change from Pheasant & left overs :rotfl:

Glad you are getting some 'down' time, you deserve it. Have a wonderful birthday. xx:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:

Morning all, it's still freezing but at least the howling gale, snow, hail and rain we had yesterday has stopped :j

Oh is draped all over the sofa with man flu :( this is going to cramp my style today - I've got a pile of books on the table I've been trying to sort through all week, mainly kids ones so its part of the letting go process, nothing has any sentimental value and most are scruffy so I can just put them into the book bank - even so I am having difficulty just getting on and doing it.

But today I will have to get on and do it or it will be noticed

when I move through the thread on the new layout it jumps beyond the first post on each page. Does it not do that for everyone?

Alternatively, just whack the thread starter on ignore ;)
Yes it does that for me too :)

Today I got my !!!!!! Orchard flower MOCs and I have questions pretty pretty please.

Can I use the £5 one instore (ie I don't have to use it with an online order)?
Can I use the MOCs on reduced flowers - I am wondering if its worth waiting until Monday (I expect there will be still full price even at 3.30 in our store on Sunday) ?
I have some conditional spends for a £20 shop. If I hand over the conditional spend followed by the £5 would that be acceptable?
Probably just cat food to make up the £20 unless they have the special Higgity pies.
Can I use the £1 ones at the same time as the £5 one - ie get some daffs at the same time as a bouquet?

Apologies for all of the questions but I know some of you did the earlier campaign so you will have tested out all of the possibilities :)

    I am very impressed.
marks in Chester had sale racks all over the place last time we went but there was so much of the stuff I hadn't got the patience to go through it all.

Yes I know its just plain stupidity I could put the entire lot in a bag and have to job done in 5 minutes instead of torturing myself needlessly - not having supermarket carrier bags does not help so it has to be bin bags.
I think its the old thing in my head that books are precious, we had very few at home growing up as we were dirt poor so when our kids were little I stuffed the house with them, books in every room. The result is me still trying to downsize the kids books years after the youngest has left the nest.

    Deep sigh

I am getting a lot better at this letting go though - bag of books to Oxfam and a box of bric a brac on Saturday, clothing into the cloth bin and more books went into the book bank - it's going to be a long slow job though
