    Evening peeps. :)

Laptop has finally died. Turns on but won't boot up.
Can't affordr another one, so I'll probably have to bow out for a while.

Good news today. I have a moving date. I'll be in my new house on the 12th. Gonna be a frantic week ahead. Actually, I'm already packed and ready to go. Just odds and ends to sort out. I'm so nervous!!!

Don't be nervous scamps, it's a very normal reaction but nothing to do with nerves, it's adrenalin rushing through your system.

As long as you are packed and ready for the off all should go well.

Remember to take metre readings of gas and electric as you leave, send them to your suppliers this enables them to give you closing balance of account at your current house.

Make sure you have kettle, tea, coffee, sugar etc and a cup or mug in same box and mark it so. Easy yo have a quick cuppa without having to rifle through half dozen boxes to find coffee, tea etc and don't forget a tea spoon for stirring :)

I love helping people move, good organisation skills and I keep calm too. I wish I lived nearer to you as I could have given you some help :) good luck on the day scamps, and go book computer time at the local library, you can keep in touch with us from there.

Why not look on Freecycle or Freegle, Gumtree you quite often find a kind person giving one away free due to upgrading, same goes for white goods :)

I thought you said 'Savings Account' in your post ?

I've acually already got a Tesco Current account - I opened it as it was so easy to set up a couple of direct debits from my 'switching' account (the one thats done the rounds from M&S/halifax/Yorkshire/C0-op). I haven't a clue if the Tesco account has been paying interest but, if it is, I could use that.

Do they pay interest on a savings account as well ?

I thought 'savings account' too :rotfl:

I've got Satander , TSB Classic plus bank accounts but fancy a saver now with a goo dish rate. Santander dh has 1 account plus we have a joint account. Decided to put maximum in, then went to TSB and opened 3 There between us. Oh I miss the days of the fixed bond savers @ 10% tucked away for 12 months on some and 2 years on others.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Trulymadly - it is really quite easy to set up standing orders for the required monthly deposits into the high interest paying current acounts. Best to start off with TSB (not sure if there is any cb at moment you will need to check). You can have two individual ones of these and one joint taking care of 10k and then go on to nationwide as they too pay 5pc. It really is worth reading the savings and banking forum everyday as as an elite you will certainly have all the skills required to play the current account game!

Got a few till spits at Mr. T - £5 off £20 womens clothing and £3 off £20 so worth trying a few different clubcard accounts.

    Evening all.
Thanks to the op for the Funky fishcakes. I managed a few packs today. Dropped a couple of packs off for VT on my way home. Now she has moved I have to pass the end of her road on my way home. She texted 'you having to drive past my house to go home from Asda could prove very fruitful!' :rotfl:
    Hope all are well.
Hugs to bubbs. Have a good rest tonight and recharge your batteries.
