Afternoon gang
well I'm in a pickle and its so funny, you couldnt make it up .....
last night my DD2 after her very successful first day in new job had a little spat with boyfriend, went into bathroom and on leaving slammed the door.
I heard a big bag and thought "what's she knocked over now ?"
She had bought an Ikea chunky shelf and left it in the bathroom but on slamming the door it fell and wedged itself between the radiator and a fixed unit so nothing and nobody can get in.
We have used all manner of very flat, thin items but the door cannot be removed from this side, handle doesnt even come off as it has a bathroom lock that needs to be accessed other side, is on first floor and window is locked .......anyone got Jonathan Creeks number ????
Take the doorstop off and cut the hinges off.
Edit: Just had a look at mine and that may not be as easy as it sounds0 -

I tried a piece of fibreboard, it wasnt strong enough but it was the only thing thin enough.....I am usually good at this sort of thing but I'm stumped and the door is not able to be matched as it is an expensive hardwood. As for the bloody window, it has two handles that need to be opened at once with both hands making in child and adult proof
I must have missed something but the shelf is not moving its stuck fast, it needs to be lifted to be moved grrrr0 -

Wendy I hope you get sorted.
Thank you but don't make me sound posh, I'm not and dont forget it started as a tiny, tiny bungalow (its my pension )
I'm going up to have another stare at it ......no. 2 son is due home from a romantic long weekend tonight, perhaps he will have a good idea xx0 -

As soon as Mum left, Dad wanted to go to bed..
Got him in bed - all tucked in, and the ramp arrives...:( I have had to play with it on my own

Thanks to whoever mentioned the Funky Fishcakes. One variety instore that didn't have a SEL (salmon and pollock with no additional flavouring). Entire shelf full as all others prices at £2,but these were 30p. Only got a few as not much freezer space, so plenty left.0
