Afternoon gang
well I'm in a pickle and its so funny, you couldnt make it up .....
last night my DD2 after her very successful first day in new job had a little spat with boyfriend, went into bathroom and on leaving slammed the door.
I heard a big bag and thought "what's she knocked over now ?"
She had bought an Ikea chunky shelf and left it in the bathroom but on slamming the door it fell and wedged itself between the radiator and a fixed unit so nothing and nobody can get in.
We have used all manner of very flat, thin items but the door cannot be removed from this side, handle doesnt even come off as it has a bathroom lock that needs to be accessed other side, is on first floor and window is locked .......anyone got Jonathan Creeks number ????0 -

Sorry Wendy, but lol, that's the sort of thing happens here:D,are the hinge pins exposed so you could knock them through, we did this when the youngest nephew locked himself in bathroom and couldn't unlock the door:o, good luck.:)The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0 -
Actually thinking it through the pins would only be exposed if the door opened out and if it did you wouldn't have this predicament , really should engage my brain before I speak:oThe person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0

No one has bought the 30p hair dyes from superdrug either they have been there all week.
I guess everyone else needs permanent ones like me.
Speaking of permanent ones, OLIO (i hope i spelled it right) is doing try me free, only problem is to get little card that says try it on us with a code. Supposed to be As and Superdrog stores only, seen little cards only in one A in my area, either promotion been for ages or all cards been taken or never been there. Will go to have a look today will get some spare ones just in case if theres any left (hopefully).
My apologies if been mentioned before, been awol for weeks, last time tried to lurk when forum was in quite a bad place.
On the another note does anybody know if there are solicitors with no win no fee regards house fires? My husbands work flat been burned to ground with 2/3 of our belongings, belongs to company he is working for, didnt have contents insurance (even if we did I'm 90% sure we would get nothing as he is live out in his contract but everyone knew he lives in as he works unsocial hours).
Have no spare penny for anything as had to buy everything for him to wear, he was left with clothes he was wearing, tried to scrub some black sticky stinky smoke from his shoes, nearly impossible unless washed in washing machine
Would like to get compensated from restaurant underneath flat as they caused fire, I'm pretty sure they left some equipment on otherwise where electric fault generated from, but I'm no specialist and could be wrong.
Been 4 weeks since it happened, nearly had a breakdown, still cant come back to my senses
It feels slightly better after I've written down too difficult to keep it all to myself, it actually started to get worse since my husbands company said basically your problem, you wont get anything from us and that's from company that owns more than 800 different venues and squeezing last juice out of them for their income and profit.0 -

Oh dear Wendyak, you are in a pickle :rotfl: I wish I could think of an answer, but I don't know anything about these things - can a glazier get into the bathroom window for you, or would it be cheaper to buy a new bathroom door?Final cigarette smoked 02/01/18

Can you get something thin under the shelf and move it, perhaps some cardboard or plywood? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
