Evening all, finally home from work today. Managed to score a lot of Uncle Ben's rice/chilli pots and slim fast spag bol pots for free. People at work should never utter the words 'but what if we don't get rid of all this stock?!' Could not help but think of you all. We would clear them out in under a minute :rotfl: In other random news met Ant and Dec at my second job today. Proper nice and polite they were too
Hugs to those in need :grouphug:
I've deliberately avoided all conversations identifying which one is Ant and which one is Dec:rotfl:

Morning all, very cold outside but it's looking very bright.
Washing sorted, make up on, cats fed and gone walkies, tea being drunk in anticipation and we are sat and living in hope ...
A new farm shop about 10 miles away from us is being opened this morning and they have put the event on their FB page with a prize. About 35 people also put comments underneath including me but most just put liked and shared. I put a proper response
You can see from the page about 450 invites went out which must be the number of people on their friends list, lots of maybe responses and about 40 saying yes to going.
I am hoping that they were reading and making a note of names as the week went on. This morning I can see FB says they have had 35 comments but only the last 7 are visible to me - it might be the same for them. So I've put a good luck for this morning message but it's next to someone with a double barrelled name so I feel out classed already
I've checked my emails and my other facebook messages - I know I am deluding myself. I had all of this morning planned out - farm shop, mr !!!!!! for some cashback things, nice walk, possibly meet up with eldest son and gf as we will be half way to the flat ..

His wife is convinced he's going to go this weekend so to speak. The doctors said the part of his brain that has effectively died means if he does pull through he'll be paralysed all over. I've known that man my whole life, it's been all a bit sudden really. She's being rather detached and I can't say I blame her. Their son died suddenly 20 years ago when he was 25, in his dad's arm on New Year's eve from Marfan syndrome (he didn't know he had it). I took some cake round to her yesterday and she inferred that compared to losing her son, nothing would be as bad as that. It's all a bit strange at the moment.
Regarding a rocky road recipe, I don't have one but this one is pretty good: http://www.josblueaga.com/2014/08/rocky-road-tiffin.html
Wouldn't you hope that when your life had been turned upside down that a kind neighbour would be there for you .......even knock on your door with cake.....a small gesture that means so much.........when there's no words.......just knowing that someone cares for you
