I never feel totally well at the moment but I've definitely got a handle on which days are going to be the worst. I've had to force myself to have a drastic change of attitude towards what's happening to me. I was spending far too many of the not so bad days dreading the really bad ones so every day was bad for a while. I've been through a horrible bout of self pity as well
So now I just get on with things on the days I'm able, I've even been going to work a couple of days a week and I stop getting so peed off on the bad days and just hide away and let them pass. The holiday helped a lot. Yes, I was worn out but it was so worth it.
you can entertain me with tales from geneva then on the journey.:rotfl:thats a good new plan,my beautiful and brave v.v.dear friend had some really bad days with her battle with the big c but was out and about whenever she could and went on a few cruises before she lost her battle, she enjoyed telling me stories from them as she knew it was my idea of hell.:rotfl:.hope your happy with your new hair do.:)0 -
il have a look today thanks
sounds about right
fab il nip into blackpool for some thank you
morning all.
today is mental breakdown day. (rant alert, just scroll on)
i found out last night that dd4 starts school in september and the closing date has passed. she isnt even in nursery yet because i have been concentrating on getting the other three in school, they were home ed but we have put them back in, dd3 has been in a wile now but the older two were offered diferent schools in diferent towns, the local school only has a year 8 place but no year 7 so i would have to get 4 diferent people to four diferent schools at the same time in the morning, in the winter it would be almost do able with dropping dd3 off at 8.45 dd2 of at 9 and dd1 going on the tram, but as soon as the season starts, traffic into blackpool is a nightmare meaning i wouldnt get them there on time, that or one would be waiting half an hr to get in the gates.
so. dd4, were looking at nursery monday. when did that happen, she is just a baby.
dd3 is sorted
dd2 and dd1. still at home with no suitable outcome in sight
the education office tell me to appeal, the schools say theres no point because theres no room and all the time the two girls are still working from home but each day hoping for news.
Afternoon all. Hope everyone is well.

Mrsgee you might be suprised if you appeal. I too was told by the school there is no point as they were full but much to my suprise my dd was accepted. Hth xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -

To be honest, I'm not surprised that there are no school places available in every year group that you need. Schools don't keep spaces free in case people suddenly require a place in a random year group, particularly not mid school year.
You have to accept that by jumping ship, from home schooling to school education mid year, it is going to be hard to find a school that has the places you want in the school years you need.
You may have very good reasons to decide that all your children have now finished with home schooling at the same time, just as you must have had good reasons to make the decisions to home school in the first place, but the education system in this country is set up to fill school places. So the chances of the places when you need them and where, being available is small and some flexibility is going to be needed.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It's a date. I'll be in touch to make arrangements nearer the time.
I'm chuffed to bits with my hair. I've managed to keep a bit more length than I thought and she managed to make it appear thicker than it actually is. Not sure I'll be able to recreate that myself though when I have to style it.
Is it bin day for you? We've had a leaflet telling us we have to start paying to have the green bins emptied   I compost the vast majority of my garden waste but I still have 2 full bins right through the summer as I can't compost absolutely everything. I think I'm going to be forced to pay but I will only be using one bin as it would be £55 for both :eek:0 -
[b{They are supposed to be calling between 6 and 7 so about 6.30 we will give up waiting[/b] - I have a bad feeling about this now - we could end up with a phone line again but still an almost non existent broadband speed ...
i somehow knew you wouldn't wait until 7:01 :rotfl:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Yey it's Friday:j:
Hope all is well. I'm just having a 2 minute catch up whilst I have a cuppa;)
I've just scanned one of those pots of joy... Apparently according to the sugar app each little pot contains just over 1 cube.... Slightly better than the smarties tube we scanned which showed 6 cubes:eek:
It's quite interesting watching the monkeys reaction to how much sugar is actually hidden in things. It's really making them think about what they are eating.
It's been really cold here today, Im beginning to think "office clothes" should come with thermal lining;) every night this week ive got in from work and put my fluffy jumper on;)0 -
