Snap ant, glad your dad is home and settling in, I am sure you could get a second hand electric chair, just a case of looking on eBay and such like, my dad had a large wheel wheelchair that had a drive from one side to the other as he had only the use of his right hand after his stroke, not sure if your dad would have enough strength for this :(, good luck in your search:)

A gentle reminder, should anyone be considering where their "line" is, of the potential consequences of voucher misuse highlighted a few years ago:

Each of us makes our own judgement and is responsible for our own actions. I am aware some Elite are bending some of the T&Cs including the the 10 voucher/£100 cap, but the above may still be of interest.

... You do notice the security cameras covering every till don't you?

Yes the price is the same but your shopping will not match your receipt if challenged ... and you then find yourself on their radar .

Have you tried the local Red Cross branch Snap? I know ours has various mobility items for hire, although I don't know exactly what.

So I'm given the task of sourcing a left hand drive electric wheelchair - cheapest so far is £599 Lloyds Pharmacy

    I'm sure I can get lower :)

Second hand is fine but haven't yet found a left hand drive

If you have a look at the Pride Go electric chair it looks like the controls can be moved to either side.

Close to £1000 new tho , or 1 on ebay for £475 or make an offer. On the pic it shows the controls on the left.

Edit: The £599 on Lloyds pharmacy can have the controls moved to the left too

Please Note - The controls are placed on the right hand side of this wheelchair as standard, left hand controls are available upon reques
