 thanks 3 cases ordered :D

Such a good cause I am sure all would agree as everyone is touched by cancer in one way or another. Plenty on here affected without those we all know in real life. If you can spare a couple of quid it may be the difference between life and death to someone in the future :o

    Right catch you later :rotfl:
SUNSHINEMUMMY thanks so much for letting me know. Me and DH both tried and couldn't get it to work so I contacted them and got this response which wasn't really any help however I have since tried and confirm it is now working.

    Hi Diane,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

I'm sorry to read that your friends are having problems donating. I can confirm that your fundraising page is currently working correctly and taking donations. Without knowing exactly what’s happening it is difficult for us to diagnose the problem.

The problem your donors are having could be caused by the browser settings on their computers. If they're accessing the site from work, their security settings might be set too high. Lowering the security settings or using a personal computer could solve the problem.

If they continue to have problems please ask them to contact us directly with the following so we can assist them with their donation:

    • steps you took to get to the problem
    • web address of the page you're trying to donate to
    • web browser and version you are using
    • screenshot of error (if possible)

I hope this helps. Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

    Regards,

Yep Tiny its was the mystery whites £48 per case and in my wisdom and in need of wine I ordered 2.

the triple sec isnt stocked by Twine but it is an instore product so I guess thats where the "return to store" came into it.....so I've just returned from the store.

Initially they wanted to just do a straight refund on the 2 boxes but I held my ground and said that I simply wouldn't have ordered 2 cases if I wasn't in need of wine and it wasnt my fault that whoever picked the wines decided to muddle in 6 bottles of spirit/liqueur....I politely told them I am usually more than happy with what I get and have never returned anything that was actually wine but I did consider something that was 38% to be a little more than wine.

They must have then taken pity on me and agreed it was unusual so offered me the refund of the cost of one of the cases in exchange for the6 bottles of triple sec back....so in all I got 18 bottles of wine for £48 and an afternoon out at the CS desk.

There are quite a lot of things in the box that I wouldn't have picked...and its all sauv blanc with the exception of 3 reslings and 2 bisol prosecco's .....but we can live with that!

not put me off..its the first time I've had something so unusual and not exactly wine and far too much of it for us to ever consider drinking(even slowly).

    Hey good result:T

    Hello, lovely Elite

Has anyone had any experience with Naked Wines?
I got an email offering me six bottles of wine for just the cost of postage, I can't help wondering what the catch is.
"Get these 6 delicious wines for just the cost of delivery, all we ask is that you rate them on your Naked Me page, and join the waiting list to become one of our 150,000 Angels on the inside."

I used to be an 'angel' and you pay £20 into your account each month and use it as you like, I used to save up and get a case of nice wines every few months. It was well over a year ago but perhaps the catch is that you sign up to that (but can cancel anytime?)? The wine is very nice in my opinion :D

    Good Afternoon :)

Glad to see you back altojack :T

Strange day today sorry it involves talking about work.

We all seemed to get behind preparing dinner and at one stage trying to do 5 jobs at once :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    But we managed it :j

Was tidying up after and fire alarm goes off so outside we all had to go and stand in cold tell we allowed back in luckily we finished just in time and I caught my bus :D.

Gets on bus coming home and regular drivers let me off half way up my street before he turns. New driver today I asked if I could please get off before he turned and  he stops doesn't open door then goes off on one explaining the bus stop is around the corner halfway up the road .I tell him other drivers let me off here so I don't have to backtrack. He opened door and let me off but warned me he wont let me off there and next time I can walk back on myself

Let's hope he was doing that run just for today only, Tweets. x

  • I though I would share the interesting bits from my first Waities delivery.
Bubbs had brought over the Jumbo Prawns from HUKD (I think) Thank you Bubbs:). I knew of a few other such glitches so took a closer look.

For those that perhaps don't know Waities have a Pick Your Own discount scheme for those with a waitrose card where you can pick (from selected items) those items that you would like 20% discount on (max 10 items). When these are in a multi offer they work out your PYO savings on the full price not the multi price.

    2 smk salmon 100g £4.49 ea or 2 - £6.50£. PYO saving = 1.80 so £2.35 ea
    3 part boned chicken breasts 500g. £5.29 ea or 3 - £10. PYO saving = £3.18 so £2.27 ea
    4 Jumbo king prawns 150g. £4.99 or 2 for 1. PYO saving = £4.00 so £1.49 ea
    1 chicken kievs 320g. £4.69 or 3 - £10. PYO saving = £0.94 so £2.39 ea
    2 chicken breast fillets 500g. £7.19 or 2 - £10. PYO saving = £2.88 so £3.56 ea
    1 chicken 1.2kg. £4.39 or 3 - £10. PYO saving = £0.88 so £2.45
    3 braising steak 400g £4.19 or 3 - £10. PYO saving = £2.52 so £2.49 ea
    2 dry cured streaky bacon 250g. £3.29 or 2 - £6. PYO saving = £1.32 so £2.34 ea
    1 unsmoked back bacon 360g. £4.00 or 3 - £10 PYO saving = £0.00 so £3.33 ea

You can just buy as many or as few of these instore with the same result so no need to do a CC or HD but as my nearest waities is 30 miles away and they do free delivery that was what I did although there is a minimum £60 spend on HD:eek:. By the time I'd got this far with my order with a few other items added as well I decided to go for the £100 spend with £30 off for first time orders. Unfortunately the back bacon wasn't available for PYO but I needed it anyway and it was in the 3 for £10.

I ended up with £160 worth of groceries for £68 and whilst it was a lot of money to fork out in one go my freezers are now stuffed with proper food.

I realize that with the pizza meal deal glitch everyone freezers are also stuffed but none the less some good deals to be had.:T

Still happens. We flew on a 20 seater plane in America on an hours flight and they were weighing passengers with their luggage before boarding. The POS (people of size) were all allocated the central seats (3 seats in each row) and given strict instructions that no one should swap seats.

    hi,
this sort of reminds me of many years ago when me and oh took our great dane to skeggy.he was a very great dane, much like the weight of salwag(13 stones:eek:I know, work in progress)but was taller and lanky, bless.
so we were in a 3 wheeler like trotters but green.
all was well til we went round a corner and he moved from the centre to the side....
    if you can imagine a 3 wheeler on a 2 wheeled wheelie:eek::rotfl:
we laugh about it now but at the time, I didnt think id ever see the sea again :D
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)

    LOVE ME, LOVE MY NEWFOUNDLAND.:A

I have had a case from them for £4.99 (think that was just postage) with an O2 code few years back be prepared for lots of emails after tempting you with more offers but careful as some of them are the angels subscription they do.

Personally I didn't rate the wine selection I got or the box that DD got either. I thought they were a bit rough. :o

Just realised your offer seems to be linked to an angel subscription anyway. Not sure how easy would be to unsubscribe.
