    "Calling all Knitters!
I have just been to a 2 day dementia course and seen these amazing Twiddle Mitts.
They are a knitted mitt which can be used to cover cannulas so the patient is not pulling the cannula but twiddling with the mitt instead. They can also be used as a distraction for dementia patients who often like to twiddle with things.
The hospital are crying out for more to be knitted as they are single patient use so the patient will go home with it on discharge.
Anything can be attached, buttons, bells, beads, keys, small teddies as long as they are attached securely.
A pattern to knit them can be found on Google by typing Twiddle Mitt Pattern"

    Good afternoon lovely's:wave:

I got distracted yesterday and didn't get back for my cake:(.bet it's all gone now

Talking of these lazy spas I want one...

One of my most treasured memories, only from a year or two ago was in a hot tub, Mr Monkey was recovering from his illness and we'd booked a weekend away in a lodge in the middle of nowhere. It was winter and I will never forget all 4 of us sat beneath the winter stars in the hot tub with our swimming things on and winter hats on whilst the snow fell around us. Magical! The dressing gowns were on the hook for when we got out though and there was a mad dash to get back in front of the fire.

It doesn't have to be summer/warm to enjoy them:)
Install it in the garage, wine in the fridge to chill and hang some twinkling lights. Life's too short :)
  • Afternoon all - just popped in for a quickie! Pizza meal and Turkey mince still working against M's and to a lesser degree against T's.
