I've had A's four pack frozen Chicken & Veg. pies on a womble compare against M at £2.08 (A not 10% cheaper) - obviously some weight adjustment happening there - they bought only one pack of pies though so got full price M. However, I think there is no mbuy anymore on them in M - so this would now be straight full price. I usually buy T Eday Value at £1.
The Penasol Sangria mbuy is no longer on either. This was a fact I picked up on yesterday but hadn't yet mentioned, but I confirmed that indeed they were going through at straight full price today. I managed to get the old price on a different item though, by choosing to purchase it in a store that had the old SEL up and then going via CS. There is at least one store out there with the SEL not yet changed on the Sangria today. So, if you see an item that you would have bought in M but it is being crossed out on my list as the price in M has just increased - you may still find luck if you check your store, or stores, and if the old price is still up. It will quite likely scan at the new price so you'll need to go to CS for the difference back to the price you "should" (or shouldn't!) have paid - that you thought it was of course when you saw the SEL. Not like T's DTD, but a way of getting old prices on items that have just increased in price should you find an old SEL.
The list is also very useful for finding items (assuming you can find them at all in your Ms:rotfl:) that may go through at the low prices stated on the list but your store may have a full price SEL up! I seem to be getting very good at identifying items that scan at lower prices than shown on the SELs in stores:rotfl: (but simply from my knowledge of the real price from having seen it in another M earlier). They may obviously simply not have changed the SEL in your store. I don't know how people are supposed to shop in one of the stores I saw earlier today - they had the Jumbo Salted Peanuts as OOS (they really weren't - they were in another place, namely by the fresh fruit & veg.) and SEL in the nuts aisle saying £2.50. Looking at that, you might make the mistake of buying other Salted Peanuts that look cheaper but, if you buy three bags, they certainly are not. They also had the one of the Walkers Mix-Ups showing £1.99. Real price 50p. (If you are shopping just by going to a store, like most people do, and comparing the prices of various items on the shelves in front of you, you would end up paying more by buying an item at £1 that looked cheaper but really is not.)
On the peanuts, they are, again, items that are not in every M. Indeed, I haven't seen them at all in "my" Ms - that is the Ms that are local to where I live. I would not even know about them had I not been in Ms elsewhere - and, of course, I stocked up with as much as we will use in good time around/shortly after the BB date as I can't know whether I will see them again. 600g at £1:money:. And then found that, according to hotdeals, Aldi had some 600g peanuts at 99p at some time before:doh:. Still, certainly a very good price.
However, as suggested, I suspect, if they are in your M, you will find them in some place other than the normal nuts aisle. No doubt strategically located. In one store, I found them in one of the alcohol aisles and, in three others, I've seen them by the fresh fruit and veg. It seems to me that if someone is going to M specifically to buy nuts, they are likely to go straight to the nuts aisle, not find the best value nuts there but instead just the usual ones that currently work out more expensive and, not seeing the 600g nuts on the shelf, will buy some others that are much more expensive. Whereas someone in the beer aisle, might see the container with the nuts packs in, think (rightly) they are good value and I will buy them - and thus making a sale - and whilst they are getting the best value, they are spending £1 more than what they were going to go for in the first place.
So, it both sells on impulse to the person who weren't going to buy them, but still buy the beer they were looking for as well. Whilst the person who wanted nuts ends up paying much more - or via getting much fewer nuts for their money and will soon have to return and buy more of the same not-very-good-value packs and thus, in the long run, paying more - since they don't see the 600g nuts in the nuts aisle and haven't got time to check around every aisle in the store to see if there are any elsewhere on the off-chance that, as is the case in some Ms at the moment, that there might be some elsewhere.
So, again, these reports on this thread - and the M list that I do - hopefully helps you be aware of these bargains that you would otherwise have missed.
I'm getting good on this - I just went to Iceland earlier as I fancied a Milkybar block of chocolate - haven't had one for ages - and had seen msm has Iceland at 50p. SEL in my Iceland said £1, but they scanned at 50p:rotfl:. (Maybe the SEL was changed back to £1 for tomorrow:think:* - if so, this will have been missed by now as there's now no chance of shopping in Iceland if offers changeover is tomorrow - but, if it's 50p tomorrow, then it is, and, if it isn't, then you've not been tempted by it:money::rotfl:.)
*I don't know as I haven't been to my Iceland and seen it before, so I don't know whether they've had 50p showing before or not.0 -

Sorry but just going to read back 10 pages as so far behind.
In my shiny new home tonight:j:j
Have any of the elite got a Honeywell central heating control and thermostat?
Got hot moving in and dared to touch the control on ground floor now no heating there but upstairs is slightly too toasty. Not sure why you need to individual controls in a 2 bed house anyway!
Hoping the man who they send out to fix the tv arieal can show me how to work it or I will have to ask new neighbours. Not very mse it has an auto default setting ( not working downstairs )that keeps heating on from 6.30am to 10.30pm it strangely regulates temperature according to what they think you need including a 'party setting' keeping heating on past midnight.
Other than that lovely removal men and a snagging list almost as long as my arm.
Do not have a clue what is going on apart from, it seems, yet more pizza and ice cream:eek:
Love to all

:j:j Congratulations on your new house, hope you can sort the heating out :j:j
 Have you opened the bubbly :beer:0 -
Head and shoulders have recently come out of the 3 for £10, how do we spot when things come out of (or go in to) a long running multi? Is it just looking in store and remembering? I have a pants memory so I don't think this would work for me! If we knew how to spot these then we could have more toiletry glitches.
Also Pringles, Doritos and Coke are v expensive in As at the mo so should be coming onto multis soon.RISEABOVEHATE

Doubt they will pick the offer up, it's so hard to spot in-store
I have not seen any Morrisons now which isn't showing 10 for £2 - every store I've seen has it! I've spotted a problem there though - it's on the aisle end, I believe they take prices from the stock in the actual normal runs of the aisles. On another count, I hope so anyway:rotfl: - with one of 'my' stores on Thursday (but not mine if you see what I mean) they had the Penguin bars showing £1 on an aisle end but 67p in the run of the aisle. I did try to remove the £1 label for them and put it at the back of the shelving (just in case the price collectors go to that store:rotfl:) but it wouldn't come off easily so I dared not pull it off! Don't try this one at home.
There's also some Cow & Gate jars on a "10 for..." offer in M - not that that one's any good:rotfl: - does anyone know if those are picking up mbuys when wombles buy, or exceed, the right number? They are likely to do that as they are on "12 for..." in A: they usually buy different ones though, not 11 all the same, so end up with A mbuy pricing - nonetheless, I've had some good come from that way as, thanks to them buying different ones, they actually ended up with enough different items and the price at the time at M was the same to the A mbuy so gave 10% off on each one. I have seen M mix and matches picked up on those but I don't know whether they've ever done so when M has been on a "10 for..." offer.
EDIT: If you look at that shelving, with the Mullers, it looks like there are no individual price SELs there - just generalised offer labels, unless there are individual white price labels underneath the offer labels. They would scan the individual tickets underneath and not pick up the mbuy from them. If there are no tickets underneath the offer label, then there is nothing to scan and they don't pick up the products from there. (It's also no good having shelf edge labelling, running around the offer labels, that has the offer printed continually on it.) The normal run might have specific individual Muller price labels - if they have 10 for £2 showing across there, even if on a now-yellow offer label, then they should put them into the offer - but, as I mentioned earlier, I suspect it's too much work for them so they can't do it.
I can see the offer labels on that gondola shelving, but I can't see that it applies to any individual products.0 -
iPint £5 off 20 pack. Better than two weeks of mostly £1 off but not free.

As I suggested earlier, I went to M yesterday (Thursday) - three Ms in fact, the first time I've been in any of those stores. So, I now have another two sides of paper (that's more like it!:rotfl:). I can now avoid any embarrassment at not having the Tiger Baguette at all in any of the stores I saw on Wednesday, due to me going to M late in the day. I have now seen them still at 2 for £1 on Thursday. The first store didn't have any stock (had a space where I suspect they would have physically been put) and had no SEL for them. The second store didn't have any Tiger Baguette or any White Sticks either. However, I found the Tiger Baguette, at a quarter to five, in the third store. So, another haphazard collection of some items from Store 1, some from Store 2 and some others from Store 3 that, added together, provide an overall picture. Perhaps I have all the £1 fresh pizzas now:D:rotfl:. Or perhaps not:rotfl::rotfl:.
I must apologise for missing items from my list that I have only now found in these further stores:rotfl:.
So, some more good items being added now (belatedly:rotfl::p:rotfl::rotfl:). I am adding them, and also updating from Wednesday. So, we should have a better list quite soon.
Meanwhile, just to let you know, regarding the big (200g) Schwartz Grill Mates, which show on msm/m.com with M at £1 (boo, A has now put its prices down to £1.10:(), I am having trouble finding any of them in M. I have not seen them in any M at all - so I don't know whether the price collectors would manage to find them from six stores. I don't know where these Grill Mates could be.0 -

These were Most Wanted, not only in name but the fact I could not find them in M for so long was making them most wanted to me lol:rotfl:. However, I have now found them again:j. Or, more accurately, I have not found stock of them but I have a SEL, which is good enough for me:D! So, reconfirmed, finally, at £1 in M and possibly available somewhere:rotfl:. Savvy, can't you see?!?:eek: They are obvious on the shelf of my M!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I now have three stores which have ever had any evidence for me of having this product and one at least from which they have completed vanished without trace. I have not been able to recheck the 'far away' store. But I have checked another slightly far-out store now:rotfl:.0
