  • Good morning all, rather cloudy here today but we have been promised a sunny afternoon :D
    Good morning all :)

Just sat here waiting for ds to wake as it's his bday and has his first driving lesson today :)

I made a cake for him, but every time I make a cake I get crusty edges, does anyone know why this keeps happening? :)

Cjj very strange you were in my dream last night drinking wine in the free cafe they put on in A :rotfl:

You probably have the oven too hot.

If that is not the case there is a couple of things you could try, fold over a couple of sheets of newspaper (4 layers or so) and wrap those around the tin not too far above the top and tie with cotton string, then cook as normal, or you could try a silicon cake "tin".

At the end of the day though, who really cares if the cake have crusty edges :D

Never. That squirrel annoyed me so much I avoid it.
