Squigs remember -21 if that's in link when you have posted edit and get rid ;)

The "-21" part is only applicable to amazon. For other sites you have to look out for "source", "src", "referral", "ref", "aff", "affiliate", "campaign", etc

I thought you got a 2 year warranty under the sale of goods act. Retailers don't tell you that but it's the law. I've always quoted it & it's worked so far. Good luck.

The onus is on you to prove the fault existed at the point of purchase though

    Edit:

    http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/sale-of-goods-act

    Expert's reports

Beyond six months, it's up to you to prove that the problem was there when you received the goods even if it has taken until now to come to light.

So, you may need to prove that the fault was not down to ordinary wear and tear or damage you caused, and that the product (or a component) should have lasted longer than it did.

To do this you may need an expert's report, for example, from an engineer or a mechanic.

Always try to keep the cost of any report proportionate to the value of the claim and, if you can, try to agree on an expert you and the seller both agree has the necessary expertise.

that is just for Amazon ones though.

Other affiliate links from different websites can be harder to spot so to be on the safe side always go to the website directly (rather than through a copied link from somewhere else) and then find the product/deal/offer etc that way.

OK, that is the USB socket

OK, in Poundland you can get USB memory card readers. If you can get one of those you should be able to put the card in it and plug that into the computer and you should be able to download You need to make sure you know what the card is first though, if it is an older camera then it will probably be an SD card, it should actually be written on the card.

Another alternative is to search for Windows 10 drivers for your camera, but if it is more than a handful of years old they may not have updated them,

No idea what your laptop is but it might be worth googling to see if it has a card slot, a lot do these days, mine has it under the USB slots. It is like a long thin letterbox opening.

Hope you get it sorted xx

thanks for your help. I have a PC not a laptop, but thanks anyway. x
