TS, I think it depends on whether you want to be friends with her again.

I have a neighbour across the road that I was friends with once. Problem was her daughter was a real bully, and one time she was throwing stones at gardens etc in the garage area behind our house. It was from a load of building rubble that another neighbour had ordered. I told that neighbour what she was doing and he went out to stop her, she ran and left a younger child to take the rap. Anyway the girl told her mum that she was nowhere near etc (inspite of the builders sand all over her clothes) and her mum decided to have a go at me. Not long after that her daughter was laughing with another young friend telling him what she had done and her mum overheard her, She tried to come and apologise but I did not even answer the door I was so cross. Anyway, a few years ago she started trying to be friendly again, but I will never be able to trust her again so that will not happen.

How did a quick answer turn into an essay

I think what I am trying to say is if you want to be friends contact her, if not don't.

Wasn't as long as my essay.

We do have a bit of history, she never returned something quite significant to me and Mr TS that she borrowed, even though twice I stayed at home and she didn't turn up. We even offered to go and collect but was told already in the car but we still do not have it back. :o

So up until the birthday invite I had not seen her for a while anyway.

She is one of those people that there is never a dull moment and sometimes can be quite exhausting. Good fun at times but draining others.

I'm really not sure how I feel, I guess I would have responded straight away to her message if I really wanted her and her chaos back in my life. But as TM says you can need friends and to be honest I don't have many. :o

  • Life's too short, message her back on FB and start chatting and meet up, you will then know if your friendship can get back on track and if you don't feel like it can you just continue with your life knowing you tried and not what if x

Drinking chocolate is a good substitute if you are weening yourself off the hard stuff. If you get the sachets like options the calories are minimal and because you gave to sip a hot drink you get the full chocolate hit - well worth having some emergency sachets tucked away.

There is no substitute for Christmas cake :rotfl:

I am weening myself off crisps - I was mainlining them so I've had to go cold turkey. The free cashback crisps over Christmas started it off but then I discovered Aldi bacon crisps and I was up to 3 packs a day :rotfl:
