See what happens when items go onto "good" RTC in M - the items disappear from online and go OOS on msm when they are not:

    Morrisons Wholegrain Melba Toasts (100g)

    Unavailable in Morrisons

I'm glad that I did not put this product onto the list when I first found it, a few weeks ago, and it was then at "full price". I thought the price was too high so I left it off the list, and it was! Now same 50p as what is on msm although the product is said to be "Out of stock" and "Unavailable". That is not true - as of yesterday and I suspect I will find it in stock tomorrow! Not all my stores have the label "RTC". After some time (I don't know - maybe a week, maybe more?) the products disappear entirely from msm and become M "---" (if there is any equivalent elsewhere, on this occasion there isn't), but they continue to be available in M and, looking at msm to try to find good value on whatever items you need, you would never know! You might therefore, in error, pick from the items in the category of item you want that are available on msm and not realise that a better-value item, price per unit, existed in M (or elsewhere) but was no longer on the site!

It's also the case that the RTC finds in A (when they are no longer available online:( - can't therefore be HD/CC at that point) disappear from msm. Things are best value once msm is saying £1 and unavailable - they are then usually 50p instore in A! That was the case with the 50p Fairy WUL (after the expensive "event" had ended) - although we have had much bigger WUL for 50p before and SP/Savers WUL (Savers more so) would work out cheaper by volume - I think it showed "---" for A on msm when it was available at 50p!

So, an item is best value when it is no longer on the site and the site is not telling you about it. Meanwhile, it is marking other flavours of the same product at twice the cost "Savvy buy":wall:.

Has anyone tried Lidls fresh sultana scones in their bakery?

    :A:A:A

Gutted I only bought one :o

I do wish I hadn't read that, it's only 5 minutes down the road from me

Have to admit I tend to avoid walking past the bakery when I go in, but sometimes, just sometimes, I don't quite manage it

Several of the 'fresh' (cake shop) Cheesecakes this week (550g) are £2 in M. They never compare on the APG. However, M's frozen cheesecakes (one at 450g - forget the 400g one! - up to 485g) are £1.26 at the moment as opposed to their regular price £1.48 (so I don't know why you'd pay £2 for 550g). The frozen ones, that are £1.26 'price crunch', have been 2 for £2 in the past - so, that's another price increase! Not making my list at expensive £1.26:rotfl:. I did once (or twice:o:rotfl:) get a frozen Basics cheesecake (Blackcurrant) in Sains at 50p when they were clearing it out, before it went totally and hasn't been available since. Nothing has been as good price by weight ever since and nothing has ever come close.
