I'm intrigued by your signature Serendipitious. What kind of things are you getting rid of? I feel quite weighed down sometimes by the amount of stuff we have but don't really know where to start with sorting it out :o

According to Marie Kondo the author of the KonMarie book on decluttering, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, you should start with your clothes. Here is a thread dedicated to this method of decluttering

If you still want to play (and had room for the ice-cream) you could get the pizza meal deal and put it in the fridge for tomorrow/Sunday - pizza and wedges I would think keep for a few days? (adjust cooking time). It then keeps those already in the freezer for next time.

Thanks for this my freezer practically full but I have 12 for dinner tomorrow so shall squeeze icecream in freezer and put rest in fridge as going out tonight but not tomorrow. X

Thanks for the new thread C backwards xxxx

Hi Hornetgirl, the bulk of it is just things that are no longer relevant to my life as it is today. I've moved around quite a lot, probably more than the average number of moves, and inevitably you hang onto things that were a perfect 'fit' for the old way of life, but sadly can't be accommodated in a smaller or different place. (Well, they can, but they do tend to clutter up cupboards and drawers.) Added to which, I have a great desire for clarity of mind which sounds like a conceit, but it isn't really, I just find that too much 'stuff' is annoying and the less of it the better.

There are several threads on the Old Style board dedicated to clearing stuff out and these can help inspire the starting process. I do have to say though, that in my totals I don't count any of the small bits and pieces that go out as part of general house cleaning. My totals are items that have gone to the charity shop or eBay or have been given away.

My most recent reading has been on the 10 item wardrobe and I plan to start that asap. I'll put some links up later.

    Hth. x
Thank you. I think a lot of our problem stems from the fact that we haven't moved a lot - we've lived in this house since 1991. I always have good intentions at the start of a new year, but soon fall by the wayside. I love the idea of "clarity of mind" though, that's definitely what I want/need. Off to have a look on Old Style...

Could someone please tell me - are the Quorn chicken things frozen or chilled ?

    Frozen :)

For anyone getting the Sains points till spits, you can get them put on your nectar card at cs if you didn't already know.

Also if anyone still has one, can you check if it needs to be scanned this weekend to collect the points? That's what I was told but I didn't think to check :o I would hate for anyone to miss out

:rotfl: needed a bit of research, but very apt for the elite if anyone cares to Google the meaning of them. I felt that we needed a positive start.

The verdict on today's bottling - we both tried it and also some of the stuff that MG drinks - mine is the nicest and most drinkable :D

I know where this years goosies are going now

The soda stream trick didn't really work too well but that could be that the bottle wasn't full enough
