I have however eaten so much food that I feel a little ill now. I think I will be having a salad for lunch at my suppliers tomorrow somehow!

This is always our problem when we go to Indian restaurants and then there's sometimes even food to take home!! (At least it doesn't feel awkward asking in an Indian restaurant for a doggy bag!)

Yes, I totally understand! we ate so much but still took some home- the chili paneer - and the lady had it for lunch today as was working from home- she was very pleased :)

Today was a bit of a rubbish day, really struggling with my job still and there were some tears when I got back from my suppliers. I tried to channel the energy into action instead and got a few things done and am now focussing on positive things such as the evenings plans- the John Lewis shopping event- free mince pie & bubbly- with the gf. We need to get a few pressies which are cheapest at JL so will get those this evening and tick a few things off the list

Hi mortgage free wannabe lovelies :)

Today's been a fab day, work went well for a change & I went to the gym after work- managed to run a full 4.35miles today :D

After that we nipped to Lidl and spent £5.11 on a few essentials. Had a lovely supper, and prepped some squash for soup for lunch tomorrow and roasted off squash seeds for snacks.

Christmas tree has now gone up and is looking beautiful and sparkly! Now chilling on the sofa with a box set and feeling quite chilled.

As the groceries were £5.11 the 89p was swept to the mortgage as a small overpayment which is small but still moving along slowly.

Evening, can't believe the weekends almost finished!

My run on Friday night pretty much eradicated any plans for workouts this weekend as my thighs have been on fire, so just normal activity took place.

Had a lovely weekend, house is all nice & clean, went to a friends birthday (spent £5 on fizzy pop!) but then had friends over for takeout tonight (bad planning so spent £35! :O ) which was really nice and great they came over.

Have been mulling over money & spending recently; I have set aside £450 for download fest tickets as was planning to go with a couple who are my festival buddies however they've seemed reluctant to buy our tickets yet, talking over dinner the other night the lady mentioned she is having mobility issues and struggling a lot. I think she was trying to let me know they aren't planning on going now, which whilst disappointing means I can use the money on something else (possibly a mini break with the gf for her 40th and the rest to the mortgage?)

Due to my love of keeping money separately in different accounts it's sat in a very low interest account - my personal bills account- so I think I may withdraw it and put it into my other savings (still low interest but better than the other account) until I decide what to do with it. Part of me wants to save half & over pay half, but then I also want to take my gf away for her 40th (plus I know it's one of her 2017 goals for happiness to take two mini breaks....)

Spending this weekend was all on track and good until the naughty pizza ordering- our first delivered take-away at the house. Next time we'll buy a few pizza in and do those instead, but nice to have the indulgence. I swept the change over from the joint bills acct- to the mortgage straight away.

Went to tesco today for a few groceries- £10 ish spent and spare change swept to mortgage. Now at £16.53 overpayment based on tilly tidies and a few surveys :)

Need to take lunch into work tomorrow and have a gig in the evening with a friend- off to see Ash for their 1977 tour- can't wait to hear a few tunes from my youth played live (angel interceptor, lost in you. It's going to be ace!) my mate should also give me the pennies for his ticket (I bought months and months ago) so will bank that to try not to go into my overdraft. Roll on payday!

Decided it was time for a new SOA however some of this is guesswork (e.g entertainment is a guess and includes eating out but some eating out this month has come from our grocery budget!) so I think I need to do a little more calculations.

Also all houses bills are half as they are my share only as I pay into our bills account for these

    Evening mfw's.
Today was a day I have been dreading for the past week as I was due to go to a seminar for work, which usually would be okay however my colleagues who were also due to attend had to pull out last minute which meant going alone. I was really nervous about attending but it went really well I think and the opportunity for networking within my industry (with some much much more senior people than me!) was great.

They provided coffee, breakfast (which I didn't have as was full from last night) full lunch and cakes so saved the lunch budget. WOOP!

Last night was a gig at Nottingham rock city to see Ash with a good friend of mine- we arrived very early so went for some food- I order mac n. Cheese as was pretty purse friendly, and friend drove and we managed to find free parking so all in all a good night. Ash we're just fantastic and it made me feel like I was 19 again :D

A spendy few days over the weekend and yesterday but today was minimal spent (£2.70 at tesco on chicken kievs and veg for dinner) and tomorrow/Thursday I have different friends popping over after work for cuppas/food. Planning on making homemade pizza tomorrow and toad in the hole on Thursday night to keep costs down and avoid buying takeout again.....!

Up to £10 on yougov so 1/5th of the way to payout. Quidco now at £285 tracked just waiting for them to be all confirmed and payout. Even if half payout that's £135 straight to the mortgage...if they ever get confirmed that is!

Lunch is being provided by work tomorrow which is fab and Thursday lunch will by provided by suppliers so no need to make pack ups :-)

Lovely lunch today at work from a local Turkish restaurant :D was a humongous portion so I brought the Turkish bread home and half the shish meat.

Just waiting for my friend to pop over: she doesn't want dinner as already prepped hers back home so I'll either have the leftovers or some of the frozen squash soup :D

News from work regarding the restructure and I have a new role starting February. Same type of job but different field so will see what that brings.

Bought a little photo mug (using one of the MSE newsletter codes) for my brother- £3.50 delivered direct to him so it will be something small for him to open on Christmas Day alongside his gift vouchers. I've also got him and his girlfriend matching initial mugs from Wilkos too (he's a bit of a hoarder so hoping to help him release some of the bashed up mugs with some new cute ones plus they were £1 each)

Pay day tomorrow so set up all the money transfers for the shuffle; moved £250 from my solo bills account which was waiting to buy festival tickets across to savings so it will earn a little interest :D will leave the other £200 there until I hear more from friends.

Nah, he'll just save them for best :rotfl:.

    Most likely :rotfl:

Friend came over and chatted a lot, she recently lost her job but has got a new job which is better paid and a much better working environment too which is good to hear.

Dinner for me was squash soup with some of her lardons still hanging about in the fridge and Turkish bread from lunch times through. Gf had the meat and bread from lunch too so work paid for lunch & dinner....not too shabby!

It's my birthday on Friday and I've got the day off with the gf to go Christmas shopping and spend some time in town relaxing going to go to a lovely very retro vegetarian restaurant for lunch that I really like but often forget about- last time they did a beautiful lentil lasagne and a mushroom stroganoff that we shared. I can't wait! Hopefully this will be the last of the eating out though as it's getting expensive and my waistline is not appreciating it! :o

    Mortgage overpayments so far:

    November: £11.74
    December: £5.32

Hoping to move £89 as soon as the monthly payment goes out (20th) as this will round the monthly payment up to £900.

My initial target this year was £150 overpayment so I'll be a little way off that (£43.13!) need to think about how I can make up that shortfall....

I'm sure you'll find a way to round up that OP KK - inspiration will strike!

Veggie restaurant sounds lovely - I think I'm right in thinking you're up north (relative to the South-East!) though?
