    Morning all,
She’s still in the hospital at the moment, unfortunately she managed to get a stomach infection whilst in the hospital so is also receiving treatment for that now. Yesterday was a better day for her and she managed to eat a small amount which is good.

Payday yesterday and I got some of the money shuffles done:

    £25 to LISA
    £250 to sharesaves and SIPs
    Pension like normal
£40 to kitten fund (from us both)

    £342.55 overpayment too :heartpuls:

This makes our 2018 payment £4229.44  this means our overpayments have more than paid for the interest charged this year (£3087.76 & remortgage fee £499, so total £3587.76) :D

There may still be a few Tilly tidies this month but we are very very pleased with that number!

Off to get up shortly, I’ve had morning cuddles with both cats - so cute- so will shake a leg and get myself ready to head into the hospital for 11am.

Didn’t go to the Christmas party last night and we re obviously not going to the family party up in Manchester tonight, so I will take back those dresses (£149 refund for the four) and will also return the Killstar dress and shoes (£100 refund), so I’ll be a bit more flush than I planned. Hard to find a silver lining at the moment but the good news is that gf showed signs of improvement yesterday.

We have a day of sky movies planned for the hospital via the iPad, the ward are pretty good about visiting- I’ve been there with her all week and can curl up in a plastic chair next to her bad to chatter and watch films. I don’t know who that helps more- her or me :heartpuls:
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
  • Aw KK sorry your gf is still in hospital , what a worry for you. Hope she is on the mend and back to health soon .

  • Hope your GF is feeling better and home soon. Well done on the OP'ing - amazing totals. Have you a target for next year?
  • Morning all, so today is my birthday :)

I’ve spent the morning so far having a bit of a tidy up as I’ve been out a lot this week, and now having a morning cuppa with a curled up Oscar cat who is demanding lots of fuss :heartpuls:

Will get showered and head to gfs parent shop to help them this morning, then off to town to take back those dresses Nd then to the hospital. The timing should work so I get there for visitor times.

May get gf a little something in town to make her smile, not sure what yet though. Am taking in some of the games we got for Christmas (bananagrams) so we can play it later together, as think she’s getting a bit stir crazy now in there!

For the OPs we’ve agreed a hefty stretch target of £4500 for next year, which is 50% over the 2018 target- doing sums I think we can get it to £3500 so we will have to push to get the extra £1k via eBay, surveys, bonuses (if we get them!) and trimming other budgets back :money:

My budgets been a bit blown out of the water with the hospital parking and foods- taking my own cuppa in again today and own refillable cold water bottle, will get a lunch in town as will be cheaper to get a toastie or something than the hospital canteen! :) I have found that they do a nice white hot chocolate at the hospital so had that yesterday and may splash out today on that too.

  • Happy Birthday :bdaycake:

Shame gf is still in hosp, but will be extra nice when home. Must be feeling better if getting bored.

Why is it that canteen is so expensive, to all the relatives and patients - captured audience :(
Cup of tea £1.12, take your own tea bag, and they charge 12p for hot water and splash of milk, big saving over the week :money: even better if you can find a kettle :)

Big target for next year, but you will do it :T I was (still am) completely amazed I managed double my target this year :D just shows you what can be done, with a bit of focus.

Hope you find gf a little pressie and that she is not in much longer.
