Yes there have been successful complaints.id be interested to find out their story.
Much the same for all of them.
1 - they put in their complaint
2 - MBNA assess their complaint and decide the outcome
3 - Some may have gone to the FOS if they disagree with the outcome.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Why when I look at the omburdsman decisions database I see very view relating to Mbna. In their statistics report their appears to be a signficant number of cases. Do the Fos seem to be reluctant to lodge decisions about Mbna, or are Mbna reknown for being awkward.0

A low uphold rate at the FOS could be down to MBNA dealing with complaints fairly and the FOS not having to overturn many. A high uphold rate at the FOS would suggest the opposite.
Also, it could be down to how they are retailed. I would guess a lot of MBNA PPI cases were not bought via a member of staff but applied for online or through an advert. So, the person bought it rather than being sold it. This means there is less consumer protection and, whilst still possible to succeed on certain points, it is less likely than a case where a staff member sold it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Since April 2013 (when they first started to be published) there have been 828 ombudsman decision about PPI complaints against MBNA. Of these, 196, or just under a quarter have been found in MBNA's favour.
This figure does not reflect those complaints which never got to FOS or an adjudicator managed to resolve. Nor does it include complaints which, for whatever reason, fell outside FOS jurisdiction.
However, FOS will not be pushed around by MBNA. It can, and does, make legally binding awards against all banks.
The reason FOS will have found in its favour is that it is not persuaded that it is more likely than not that, in the particular circumstances of the case, MBNA was at fault.0
