Holiday More Expensive

I know it's a long shot, but a holiday I booked 16 days ago (so just over any online booking cooling off period I think) is now almost £100 p/p cheaper - do I have any rights or is there anything I can do to get the better deal?

Any advise would be appreciated,

    Unless you can cancel and get a full refund, you're committed to the price you agreed on.
    Best advice is to stop looking at it and just go and enjoy your holiday
    Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

    was it to see if it had gone up so you could offer to pay more

    there is no cooling off period for holiday purchases
  • Yup. It's a long shot.

    Unless you have a very cheap cancellation clause. Check. But don't expect.

    there is no online cooling off period for holidays...you would be in the same position if the price changed 2 days later...unless the individual agent chooses to offer some sort of cooling off but I am not aware of any that do (flight only booked direct with the airline often offer free cancellation for refund within 24 hours of booking only)

    You could complain to the company - you probably won't get anywhere but there is a slim chance. A few do offer a guarantee to early bookers that they won't pay more
  • Prices fluctuate all the time, both up and down. If you'd looked and it had increased would you be happy if the company came back to you and asked you for the difference?

    No cooling off period for holidays or flights in the UK. You're purely reliant on a gesture of goodwill, so I would so no, you've no chance. You were happy with the price when you booked, so why did you go back and check again. You broke the golden rule!

    My motto is find a holiday with a price I'm happy to pay, book, and after that don't keep checking.

    Fluid pricing is the name of the game with holidays - you were obviously happy to pay the price when you booked.

    Either cancel,risk losing your deposit and probably pay a cancellation fee, then rebook at a lower price.

    Or accept the situation and look forward to the holiday.
