Stop drivers from automatically installing in Vista

Options
I don't want Vista to install its own version of drivers for a tv card I'm putting in the computer, but it always does it automatically even though I've set it to ask me.. Apparantly this is a feature of Vista..

I'm having real trouble with the card, so does anyone know any way to disable this? I'm on 32bit vista..

Thanks.

had this with an ati graphics card.
just let vista do its stuff then go to device manager and update the driver manually.
