HP Notebook

Options
Hi

My Notebook HP 17-p100na is failing to boot win 10.

The recovery option on F11 fails with error code 0xc0000225 and the recovery media I tried to create failed, although win10 reported it as verified.

So how do I create recovery dvd's or buy a recovery disk (last resort).

Next Step please.

you can go to microsofts website and d/load win 10 , the proggy will allow you to burn it directly to dvd or pendrive (bottom of page / install on another PC

choose the correct one , 32 or 64 bit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

I would suggest a custom install and deleting all your patitions and create new , not much point in having a recovery partition that does not work

this sounds to me like a failing h/drive

  • Hi

    Thanks for that.

I have spoken to HP support twice today and they are sending out some DVD's (probably) to enable me to re-install. It will be 3 - 10 days for delivery of either a set of disks or a stick.

So I can just carry on with desktop and wait.

The machine is only 3 weeks old and HP had me run a HDD test and it reported back as OK.
