Brittany Ferries Plymouth - Roscoff Code/Advice Please

Hello :) I am hoping someone can Help me.
I have been looking into Plymouth to Roscoff with Brittany ferries in early August to join family on a camping trip & the ferry prices for this route and my dates are currently £500+ return for 2 of us with a tiny car & cheapest cabin
So my question is has anyone any knowledge of discount codes or cheaper alternatives that don't involve a drive of more than say 100 miles on the continent? :)

I say this because we already would have had a very long drive from 'up north' and will end up shelling out on hotels or extra nights at the camp site if the drive gets any longer, which would be counter productive ( price wise :o)
Hoping some wise person can help, thanks in anticipation :A

you could try playing around and select car & 1 person and the other passengers as foot passengers
sometimes works but £500 return is about right for that time of year , totally overpriced

  • The cost sounds right for high season. To get the cost down you could ditch the cabin and try a day sailing. Day sailings are usually marginally cheaper (in my experience). Also have a look at the st malo route - not too far from your destination.

I have found in the past that it can work out cheaper if you park the car at the ferry port, sail as foot passengers and rent a car when you arrive. It is all about checking all your options.

Oops sorry we are going near Concarneau, I think Roscoff and St malo are the only ones near enough for us.

Thanks for the responses there is some 'food for thought' and some very lovely helpful people.
Also the member who PM'd me I thank you and will get back to you soon.:)

The ferry options look limited and expensive and time-consuming.
Had you considerd flying, e.g. Manchester to Nantes and hiring a car?
