This is for the manufacture and installation of a pair of "laminate knot free timber" french doors. Single glazed. It's in replacement of current defective french doors.
Seems an awful lot to me but I don't really have much clue, any idea?

Get another2 quotes.
Why not double glazed ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Oh they are external doors.0

The cheap way is pvcu which I am guessing is not possible hence why you have specified bespoke joinery.
Get more quotes is the answer, but why single glaze? Is this too a specific requirement such as conservation work?0 -
It's a listed building hence the single glazing. Double glazing is a possibility but it has to be very expensive 'slimlite'.0

Ill have more of a look round for alternative quotes.
Initially I have been struggling to find anyone. This company was a recommendation and I have seen there work on a nearby property. Was hoping the price would be a bit less!0
