Parking Charge Notice from Barnet Hospital. Parking Eye

I had recently been to Barnet hospital and it clearly stated parking free for 20 minutes. I parked my car and came back within 20 minutes. I than went to the entrance of the hospital to pick my wife and baby, I got off the car and put my baby in the car and than went to put the buggy in the car boot. At that time the camera picked my number plate (both car lights were on with my engine running).
So now i have received a fine of £60 to be paid immediately. Need to know how to deal with this ?

you need to read and follow the advice in the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of the forum (it seems you missed it completely)
and complain to PALS too, quoting this at them
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/nhs-patient-visitor-and-staff-car-parking-principles/nhs-patient-visitor-and-staff-car-parking-principles
and sign this petition and ask as many people as possible to do the same

Yes, check out the NEWBIES thread and if you have questions, come back to this thread.
Parking Eye are having problems with hospitals right so yes, talk to the hospital. The problem now is just how authentic are the cameras Parking Eye use ???? It is generally thought not.
There is also a matter of a 10 minute grace period which is applicable to what happened to you0 -
Is the baby under 6 months old. If so quote the Equality Act and the need to allow more time for issues such as dealing with a baby. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Is the 20 minutes a red herring? Were you parked to pick up other and baby in a restricted area?
Looks like the photo was from a camera that was monitoring a specific area rather an exit/entrance timed parking area.0 -
Sounds like the pick up / drop off point was still within the car park as far as they were concerned. They timed you as taking more than 20 minutes from entering the site to leaving, even though you were parked for less than 20.
First port of call it to complain to PALS, who'll tell you they can't do anything until you tell them than Jeremy Hunt made it their responsibility and you know for a fact they can.
Then wait for anything in writing from Parking Eye and appeal as normal, adding a point about one of the passengers affording protection under the Equalities Act 2010, that the car was on site for more than 20 minutes but parked for less, and the rest of the points as per the newbies thread.
Make sure you never name the driver.
Then complain to the hospital and your MP.0
